Autobiography
Hi, I am Yen-Ju Wu from Tainan, currently a senior in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Tsing Hua University. I am optimistic and seldom feel frustrated so that when encountering a problem, I can always try to understand the cause and do my best to solve it. Being well organized and efficient, I have been devoting myself to the thorough understanding of course contents. Speaking of my interest, table tennis is my favorite sport. I am a member of table tennis team of EE.
During my junior year in college, I participated in an independent research project with my peers to pursue algorithms and control system in greater depth. We worked with Prof. Wei-Yu Chiu to develop a modular reconfigurable robot for locomotion control. We made a modular robot composed of three same modules and used Genetic Algorithm to control the robot. We have successfully made the robot to evolve from random genes to one that can crawl and climb stairs. We won the second prize of 2020 Spring Undergraduate Project Competition of Department of EE, NTHU.
After graduation in one year, I would like to apply for a graduate school in the United States. I got a score of 320 on the GRE general test on October 18. Hope that I can utilize my knowledge and experience to make breakthroughs in the field of my research.

自傳
我是吳彥儒,目前就讀國立清華大學電機工程學系大四。我生性樂觀且很少覺得沮喪,遇到問題的時候我會理解問題的根源並盡力解決。我做事很有效率、組織能力強,要求自己要完全的了解課堂專業知識。關於興趣,桌球是我最愛的運動,我加入電機桌球系隊,代表清華電機系參加了大電盃與北電盃。
大三的專題研究,我選擇邱偉育教授的專題──可重組模組機器人運動控制。我們製作的模組機器人由三個相同的模組所組成。我們用基因演算法來控制機器人,成功讓機器人從完全隨機的基因演化成可以爬行和爬樓梯,並獲得108學年度第二學期電機工程學系實作專題第二名的殊榮。
畢業後,我希望能申請美國的碩士班。已在10/18的GRE考試中考取320分。期許自己在未來的兩年內能夠利用自己所學的能力,在研究的領域中有些突破。
